New Flagship product takes Synergiq to the Finals
Newcastle based Synergiq have been short-listed to the finals of the North East Business Awards in the Innovation category with their new flagship product Mobliq.
Newcastle-based Synergiq is a well established name in technology circles, providing a range of ICT services and solutions to organisations around the UK.
Ken Taylor, Synergiq’s sales director, explains the background to the launch of Mobliq: “Working with hundreds of organisations of all types and sizes over the years, we saw first-hand the logistical and financial problems that using a paper-based model to manage the activities of a mobile workforce can cause a business.
“We knew there was a real gap in the market for an affordable, user-friendly solution that would transform an unwieldy and potentially risky business infrastructure into a fast, efficient and cost effective operation, no matter how many field-based staff were involved and no matter how complex the organisation’s needs.”
“We used proven technology developed in the USA and took it several stages further to produce a system with a level of functionality more usually seen with a price tag well out of the reach of SMEs.
Mobliq is a unique electronic data collection and transmission system created to meet the needs of organisations managing any type of field-based data and staff ranging from couriers and telecoms technicians to energy surveyors and engineers.
“It also slashes the ‘job to invoice’ time cycle, which has a big impact on cash flow, and provides management with a real-time overview of operations, while an affordable monthly lease puts them firmly in control of costs. Rapid implementation timescales mean businesses can see a tangible return on their investment in around eight weeks.
Because Mobliq quickly becomes a business critical function within an organisation, Synergiq is taking no chances with Security, Performance and Resilience and has formed a partnership with data centre hosting and IT specialists Sunderland-based PCI Services, headed up by technology expert Joe Olabode.
“Many of the leading names in sectors such as energy, telecoms and courier services have been quick to recognise the business benefits Mobliq brings and we foresee particularly high demand over the coming months.”
At the end of its most successful year yet, the company is gearing up to cope with increasing demand for the latest in its series of practical solutions designed to help businesses succeed.

BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP HITS THE RIGHT NOTE

Two of the region’s leading technology experts have teamed up in a partnership that is set to deliver wide-ranging benefits to the business community throughout Europe.

Newcastle-based Synergiq is a well established name in technology circles, providing a range of ICT services and solutions to organisations around the UK. The company numbers many of the region’s big names on its client list, having provided high end consultancy and implementation services to clients such as Wynyard Hall, European Finance UK and three out of the four recent winners in this year’s Women Into the Network Business Awards.

At the end of its most successful year yet, the company is gearing up to cope with increasing demand for the latest in its series of practical solutions designed to help businesses succeed.

Mobliq is a unique electronic data collection and transmission system created to meet the needs of organisations managing any type of field-based data and staff ranging from couriers and telecoms technicians to energy surveyors and engineers.

“We knew there was a real gap in the market for an affordable, user-friendly solution that would transform an unwieldy and potentially risky business infrastructure into a fast, efficient and cost effective operation, no matter how many field-based staff were involved and no matter how complex the organisation’s needs.

“We used proven technology developed in the USA and took it several stages further to produce a system with a level of functionality more usually seen with a price tag well out of the reach of SMEs.

“Mobliq is simple to integrate with existing legacy and back office enterprise systems and works on a range of portable devices such as PDAs, phones, laptops and hand-held computers. It easily captures images and signatures and provides field staff with a live feed to up to date job details, parts status, reassignment and any other information they need to do their job efficiently.

“Many of the leading names in sectors such as energy, telecoms and courier services have been quick to recognise the business benefits Mobliq brings and we foresee particularly high demand over the coming months.”

Because Mobliq quickly becomes a business critical function within an organisation, Synergiq is taking no chances with Security, Performance and Resilience and has formed a partnership with data centre hosting and IT specialists Sunderland-based PCI Services, headed up by technology expert Joe Olabode.

PCI Services was the region’s first company to offer a unique, three-pronged approach to Business Continuity Management, providing a combination of Information & Communication Technology, fire, health and safety solutions that protect an organisation’s people, technology and physical environment from incidents that in many cases can be operationally very disruptive. With experts from all three of its core disciplines, the company has rapidly established a name for itself, particularly in the highly competitive data protection, management and security field.

Clients who sign up to Mobliq have their back office and hosting functions handled through PCI Services’ secure data centre situated in the e-volve Business Centre at Rainton Bridge, which is fully equipped with powerful servers protected by the latest in technology tools and systems.

The strategic partnership will also allow both companies to combine their experience to offer an expanded strategic consultancy and implementation service to clients across the private and public sectors.

Joe Olabode, one of the founders of PCI Services, said: “Ken and I have worked very successfully together in the past and many of our current companies’ individual strengths and specialisms complement each other.”

“Many challenges exist when delivering applications via an ASP hosted model as clients/businesses become highly dependent on the availability of the systems, which often means that even small ‘outages’ can have a serious impact on their business. As such, PCI Services believe it is vital that they are able to provide the right environment within which Synergiq are able to offer to their clients a cost-effective highly available platform on which their software applications are delivered.”

“The launch of Mobliq has provided the perfect platform for a collaborative approach, allowing us to extend our reach by offering a range of new services to the benefit of both our client bases.

“We are delighted to be part of the team behind a new flagship mobile working solution that is set to transform the efficiency of field-based operations all over the region.”

Wow! Nearly a Hatrick

We are very proud that two categories of the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 awards have been won by women who head up their respective companies who are customers of Synergiq. Nickie Gott of She's Gott It (Durham) was awarded the "North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2007" award and Jan Massey / Melanie Crow of Photography for Little People (Gateshead) were awarded the "Woman in Retail" award

A third nominee Liz Prudhoe of Adapt,(Hexham) who are also a Synergiq customer, narrowly missed out in the "Woman Social Entrepreneur" category. Which would have provided a unique hatrick.

Ken Taylor, Sales Director at Synergiq comments "it is fantastic to see these ladies winning the awards and Synergiq are proud to be associated with the successful women and their respective companies".
Our philosophy at Synergiq is simple, "Success Breeds Success". Keep up the fantastic work Girls, Well Done!
